A Perfect Day in Saint-Raphaël - Family Visit

Visiting Saint-Raphaël as a family: A family shares their day in Saint-Raphaël, spent among the beaches of Agay, the Île d'Or, and the Estérel Massif.

Our Morning between Saint-Raphaël and Agay

We start our day in the gentlest of ways with breakfast on the terrace, in the shade of the trees. With this incredible view of the sea, we take our time and savor the moment—it feels so good to be here.

First, we settle down on the beach right next to it to work on our tan. The water is completely serene, a true bliss.

Change of scenery: we hit the road to visit Agay. Its beach is magnificent, offering a breathtaking view of the Estérel hills plunging into the water. While the boys watch the fishermen on the sand, I can't help but walk with my feet in the water.

After this beautiful getaway, we return to Saint-Raphaël for a stroll along the docks of the marina. The white boats lined up against that turquoise water always make me dream.

Afternoon: Heading for the Île d'Or

For the afternoon, we treated ourselves to a superb boat trip heading towards the famous Île d'Or. Approaching this legendary tower from the boat is a magnificent sight. With the sea spray crashing against the glowing red rock, it was magical—and so impressive for the children!

It’s already time to head back. Sitting at the front, I savor our return by boat to the harbor. Late afternoon is approaching, and the sea has become smooth as glass. It perfectly reflects the first golden glimmers of evening, a pure moment frozen in time.

Evening: The Magic of the Sunset

Back on land, we enjoy the last light of day on the palm-lined beach. The sun begins to hide behind the hills, and the wet sand sparkles brightly. I remain fascinated by this sunset. The sea takes on magnificent orange hues. The sound of the waves dying on the pebbles completely clears my mind.

The sky becomes flamboyant. From the pier, we watch the last shuttle boats cross the bay. The sun disappears completely behind the mountains, leaving us with an incredible vista.

Night falls and the Old Port lights up. The children's eyes light up as they see the Ferris wheel illuminated in pink and purple above the water. It’s a magical and enchanting moment.

We end this perfect day with a gentle stroll under the palm trees. *01:10* We pass right in front of the brightly lit Casino. A fully packed day, filled with laughter and wonderful family memories!
