1. Prehistoric Fauna: A journey through time

The Archaeological Museum offers you a true journey to the heart of Prehistory. Created in partnership with eminent institutions — including Cosquer Méditerranée, the Museum of Prehistoric Anthropology of Monaco, as well as the Prehistory museums of the Verdon Gorges and Terra Amata —, this exhibition reveals the large animals that populated Provence 25,000 years ago.
Under the expressive brush of artist Sandrot, mammoths, bison, bears, wolves, seals, and even penguins come back to life to explore the power and fragility of living things. Contemporary paintings engage in a harmonious dialogue with cave art representations and archaeozoological data from major prehistoric sites. This encounter between art and science reveals the full biodiversity of the last ice age and invites us to reflect on our heritage and our relationship with nature.

2. Elusive Fantômas: The king of disguise comes to the museum
Location: Louis de Funès Museum – Rue Jules Barbier
Dates: From June 16, 2026, to April 30, 2027
“I am everywhere. And especially where you least expect me.” The Louis de Funès Museum opens its new temporary exhibition dedicated to Fantômas, a mythical figure of the French popular imagination created in 1911 by Pierre Souvestre and Marcel Allain. A criminal mastermind and master of illusion, this character foreshadowed modern super-villains.
The exhibition offers a crossroads between literature and cinema, highlighting in particular the famous trilogy by André Hunebelle from the 1960s where Louis de Funès played Commissioner Juve. The highlight of the visit is a brand-new immersive experience: a hologram of Fantômas speaking directly to visitors.
Children's Corner: Ready to uncover the secrets of Fantômas?
A fun and mystery-filled trail awaits younger visitors to discover who is hiding behind this king of disguise (police officer, gentleman, bandit, doctor...). Keep your eyes wide open during the visit!

3. Coucou Pompidou!: Modern art within arm's reach
Location: Micro-Folie Digital Museum – Saint-Raphaël Cultural Center
Dates: From July 15 to September 19
Thanks to the national Micro-Folie initiative, the Centre Pompidou has partnered with Saint-Raphaël to enrich its digital museum. The micro-exhibition "Coucou Pompidou!" offers a tailored selection of 57 masterpieces from the 20th and 21st centuries.
This is a unique opportunity to discover an incredible diversity of artistic practices through the works of essential masters such as Marcel Duchamp, Joseph Beuys, Andy Warhol, François Morellet, Ben, Orlan, Yves Klein, Piet Mondrian, and Jackson Pollock. The experience is supported by a high-definition digital projection and a custom-designed visitor booklet.

- Free activities (by reservation): 45-minute guided micro-tours are organized on Fridays, July 17 and Wednesdays, July 29 at 10:00 AM, as well as Fridays, August 7 and Wednesdays, August 12 at 10:00 AM.
